Internal Rules
Article 1 – Purpose and scope
These rules are established in accordance with the provisions of Articles L 6352-3 and L. 6352-4 and R 6352-1 to R 6352-15 of the French Labour Code.
These rules apply to all persons taking part in a training programme at Liora. Their purpose is to set out how the general rules on discipline, health and safety regulations, and learner representation arrangements are applied.
All persons must comply with the terms of these rules throughout the entire duration of the training programme.
Article 2 – Health and safety rules
The prevention of accident and illness risks is imperative and requires everyone to comply with:
- The applicable health and safety requirements at the training premises;
- Any instruction issued by Liora’s Management or its representative.
In the context of distance learning, it is essential to comply with the health and safety rules of the place where the training takes place, particularly where this is the learner’s company.
The training organisation cannot be held liable for incidents or accidents occurring remotely during training hours, in particular those related to the use of IT tools and the internet.
Each person taking part in a training programme must ensure their own personal safety and that of others by complying with the general and specific health and safety instructions.
If they notice a system malfunction, they must immediately inform Liora’s Management. Failure to comply with these instructions exposes the person to disciplinary sanctions.
Article 3 – General discipline
3.1 Principles
The exchange spaces are based on the following values and principles, which everyone must respect: tolerance, kindness and the ability to live together, respect for others and their beliefs, and protection against all forms of violence. The use of violence, in any form whatsoever, is prohibited and will not be tolerated in the online spaces. Learners are therefore invited to take part in Liora’s various community spaces, respecting the values and principles set out above as well as the legislation in force.
3.2 Commitment and attendance
The Learner is bound by an obligation of attendance and commitment, which are essential conditions for validating their entire training pathway.
In order to succeed in their training pathway, Learners must work consistently throughout their training. Where applicable, group work must be carried out and delivered on time; a schedule of group work is sent to each Learner at the start of their pathway. The Learner must also undergo skills assessments during follow-up sessions and project defences.
The Learner must attend all scheduled lecture sessions and pedagogical follow-up sessions held by videoconference. The Learner is required to comply with the times of the scheduled sessions.
The Learner is required to follow and complete the asynchronous training modules in accordance with the schedule communicated at the start of the training.
3.3 Absences and lateness at synchronous sessions
Any absence must be reported immediately to the trainer/Cohort Manager.
Supporting documents must be sent within 48 hours to the email address [email protected] and, where applicable, to your employer.
In the absence of supporting documentation, any session cancelled by the Learner less than 48 hours before the session, or any lateness of more than 30 minutes to a session, is considered an “unauthorised absence”. For any unjustified absence of an employed learner, the learner will not be paid by their employer.
An attendance sheet will be used for synchronous sessions. The learner must sign it to confirm their attendance.
After two consecutive unauthorised absences by the Learner, a Disciplinary Board may be convened.
3.4 Access to and use of the premises
Access to the premises is strictly reserved for users, school staff and any duly authorised person. Access is through the security gates using a personal badge. It is forbidden to lend this badge and/or to let in any person from outside the establishment.
Management reserves the right to prohibit access to or presence in the establishment of any person displaying unusual and manifestly abnormal behaviour likely to compromise their own safety or that of others present.
Everyone shall take care to keep the premises in good condition, clean and properly arranged, both offices and common areas (dining area, corridors, toilets, etc.).
Any damage resulting from malice or carelessness will be assessed and the person responsible will be held financially liable.
3.5 Confidentiality
The Learner is bound by an obligation of discretion and confidentiality with regard to the information and documents to which they have access. The learner undertakes not to disseminate or communicate these confidential elements to third parties, or to duplicate them in any form whatsoever, in whole or in part.
The trademarks, logos, signs and all content of the liora.io website (texts, images, sound, etc.) are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code. It is strictly forbidden to copy any content from Liora’s website by any means whatsoever; any full or partial reproduction would constitute an infringement punishable under Article L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
Liora reserves the right to take action against any learner who fails to respect this commitment.
3.6 Equal treatment, freedom of expression and neutrality of teaching
In accordance with Article L. 6352-4 of the French Labour Code, Liora undertakes to ensure equal treatment of all trainees and apprentices with regard to access to training, pedagogical follow-up, support and assessment, without distinction based on origin, sex, political, philosophical or religious beliefs, state of health, disability or any other criterion prohibited by law.
Liora ensures respect for the freedom of expression and conscience of every trainee and apprentice. Everyone is free to express their opinions in the context of educational activities, while respecting the rights and dignity of others, and without disrupting the proper conduct of the training.
The teaching provided by Liora is neutral and objective. Instructors refrain from any form of proselytism or ideological, political or religious influence in the course of their teaching activities.
Any breach of these principles, whether by a trainee, an apprentice or an instructor, may give rise to the measures provided for in these internal rules.
Article 4 – Conduct of studies
4.1 Essential equipment
As Liora’s courses are delivered exclusively online, each Learner must have a computer equipped with a webcam and a microphone enabling videoconferencing, as well as access to an optimal internet connection (minimum 4 Mbps upload and 2 Mbps download).
4.2 Online sessions
Each synchronous session between Learners and Liora staff will take place on the Zoom platform and will be recorded by Liora. If the Learner does not wish the conversation to be recorded, they may inform Liora at the start of the session.
Recordings are available for three months after the session.
Cohorts meet on a Slack channel dedicated to their intake (online communication channel). Learners are expected to observe the rules of courtesy, appropriate language and correct spelling when writing their messages, whether addressed to Liora staff or to other learners.
4.3 Skills assessment
Skills are assessed throughout the pathway through various evaluations. Evaluations are specific to each course; their arrangements are explained by the cohort manager/trainer at the start of the programme.
As defence sessions take place remotely, they are recorded and kept for 3 months for the sole purpose of serving as a means of monitoring the training.
4.4 Handling of incidents
In the event of technical problems attributable either to the candidate or to Liora, the candidate will be offered the opportunity to retake the assessment a few days later.
4.5 Assessment fraud
Any perpetrator of or accomplice to fraud or attempted fraud committed during an oral defence or an online assessment will be subject to disciplinary proceedings. The Disciplinary Board will take up the case and apply a sanction which may go as far as exclusion from the training.
4.6 Termination and suspension of the training pathway
The normal continuation of the Liora programme may be interrupted temporarily or permanently for reasons relating to the learner’s choice or to a decision of the establishment’s disciplinary bodies. If the learner does not officially request a deferral, they are deemed to have withdrawn and are not authorised to continue the programme. In this case, the training contract or agreement will be terminated.
In the event of early termination or suspension of the training pathway, the Learner must notify their Cohort Manager as soon as possible.
Suspensions of one week are authorised and may be postponed, provided that the Cohort Manager has been informed in advance and subject to their availability.
In the case of a long suspension (of more than 15 days), the Learner must notify Liora’s pedagogical management.
4.7 Issuing of results
Results are sent individually to certified learners within 3 months of the certification panel.
4.8 Social security scheme
All learners are affiliated to the general French Social Security scheme. Learners previously registered under the student social security scheme must register with the general Social Security scheme on Ameli.fr.
Article 5 – Disciplinary measures
5.1 Disciplinary sanctions
Any breach by the Learner of any of the obligations set out in these rules may give rise to proceedings and an interview with the members of the Disciplinary Board (notice sent by email / videoconference).
No sanction may be imposed on a Learner without them having been informed in advance of the grievances against them.
Should the learner fail to attend following notice from the Disciplinary Board, the Board will nevertheless proceed.
Depending on its nature and seriousness, any misconduct may give rise to one of the following sanctions:
Reminder of the rules: this includes warnings and reprimands, which are written admonitions issued by the teaching team intended to draw attention to the issue;
Suspension: temporary exclusion from the school decided by the Disciplinary Board, resulting in loss of the corresponding pay. The exclusion period remains payable regardless of the Learner’s funding arrangement (self-funded or by a third-party funder);
Termination: permanent exclusion from Liora’s training programme, decided by a Disciplinary Board.
Fees incurred are not refunded.
The Disciplinary Board’s decision will be communicated to the Learner by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt no earlier than two days after the Board meeting and no later than 15 days after the interview.
The Disciplinary Board’s decision is irrevocable. Where applicable, any disciplinary decision of the Board will also be sent to the learner’s employer and any funding body.
5.2 Composition of the Disciplinary Board
The Disciplinary Board consists of:
- The Director of Liora
- A member of the pedagogical management
Article 6 – Trainee representation
6.1 Principles
For training programmes organised in sessions with a total duration of more than five hundred hours, a principal delegate and a deputy delegate are elected simultaneously by single-member, two-round ballot.
All learners are entitled to vote and to stand for election. (Article R.6352-9 of the French Labour Code).
6.2 Organisation of the ballot
The pedagogical director organises the ballot, which takes place during training hours, no earlier than 20 hours and no later than 40 hours after the start of the first group session.
The pedagogical director is responsible for organising the ballot and ensures that it runs smoothly.
Where, at the end of the ballot, it is found that learner representation cannot be ensured, the director draws up a report of non-representation (procès-verbal de carence).
6.3 Role of learner delegates
Delegates are elected for the duration of the training. Their duties end when they cease to take part in the training.
Where both the principal delegate and the deputy delegate have ceased their duties before the end of the training, a new election is held under the conditions set out in Articles 6.1 and 6.2.
Delegates are the link between the whole intake and Liora’s management. As such, they are responsible for reporting to the pedagogical management any issue disrupting the smooth running of the courses and for relaying to the class the information communicated by the administration. Their comments must reflect the views of the whole cohort. Their role is fundamental in ensuring pedagogical liaison and the transmission of information. They also have a duty of discretion regarding the disclosure of information to their peers (results, sanctions, personal problems).
They are required to attend the various meetings organised concerning the cohort. If absent, they must be represented by a deputy.
Article 7 – Improvement Council (Conseil de perfectionnement)
7.1 Operating procedures
The Improvement Council provided for in the article reports to the director of the organisation.
The Council meets at least once a year to examine and discuss matters relating to the organisation and operation of the organisation.
7.2 Procedures for appointing Council members
The Improvement Council includes representatives of the teaching team, management, learners and stakeholders external to the organisation (employers and/or representatives of employers’ professional organisations, etc.).
Article 8 – Personal data protection
Pursuant to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May 2018, and the amended French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), Liora is committed to an ongoing compliance process and has implemented a Personal Data Protection Policy.
Each learner has, where applicable, a right of access, rectification and erasure in respect of all data concerning them relating to the use of Liora’s information systems. This right may be exercised with the Data Protection Officer (DPO): [email protected]
Learners must take all appropriate measures to prevent unauthorised access to or fraudulent use of Liora’s IT system. In particular, they must:
- ensure the confidentiality of user accounts, codes or passwords or any other access control device entrusted to them on a strictly personal basis, and undertake not to disclose them or allow a third party to use them;
- undertake not to decrypt or misappropriate the codes or passwords of a third party;
- always log out at the end of each work period;
- ensure that files deemed confidential are not accessible to third parties;
- not access other users’ data and files without their prior and explicit consent;
- not make any changes to the environments without the prior approval of Liora’s DPO.
- The learner’s personal data will be kept for 60 months after final departure. After this period, the school will delete the personal space containing private data.
Article 9 – Image rights
Liora reserves the right to take screenshots of Cohorts during videoconferences. These images may be shared by Liora in private conversation channels and also on the company’s social media pages.
Article 10 – Security of resources
Liora ensures the proper use of hardware and software resources as well as electronic communications (rules and guidelines for good conduct). Our hosting is provided by AWS Web Services Europe EMEA, and all pages are secured by the HTTPS protocol. Staff assigned to the information systems department ensure the proper functioning and security of Liora’s networks, IT and communication resources.

Article 11 – Maintenance
Liora reserves the right to carry out work on the resources made available to Learners in order to perform corrective, remedial or evolutive maintenance of the site. Users are informed by email 24 hours before any remote maintenance takes place. Maintenance is carried out at night, for one hour, once a week.
